Stirling was started by Roderick and Amanda Lovan in 2012 after a trip to Scotland during which they fell in love with products with natural ingredients and decided to try their hand at making natural soaps. After much trial and error they developed their own formula of natural ingredients and today have grown well beyond soaps into a full-line of shaving and grooming products for men and women which include bath bars, body lotions, balms, accessories and even coffee. Today, Stirling is one of the most beloved and popular brands among wet shavers due to its reputation for high quality ingredients, reasonable prices, wide variety, and excellent customer service.
Scent Description
Ramblin Man, based on Creed's Himalaya, is a fairly stragithforward scent accord which is primarily citrus-forward, with a strong underpinning of musk, cedar and sandalwood. The muskiness is further amplified by ambergris, which is animalic and warm, and some may find a bit off-putting but also adds sweetness and depth. It's strong lemony notes give some an aquatic impression, or of an icy mountaintop. What's clear, is that as with many citrusy bouquets it's fresh and clean, with the musk and woods adding complexity and richness. A great choice for warmer weather and suitable for almost any situation, although its assertiveness is likely to get you noticed.

The Stirling shave soap base hasn't changed its formula since it was first introduced and produces the quintessential example of a lather which ShaveSplash characterizes as Creamy. The formula follows the dictum of keeping it simple and is tallow-based with only 12-14 ingredients which are mainly all-natural. The result is a lather which is moist and smooth, with strong stability, good cushion, high density, and exceptional slickness, and due to the high-quality ingredients with beneficial skin properties has an excellent post-shave feel.
