Stirling was started by Roderick and Amanda Lovan in 2012 after a trip to Scotland during which they fell in love with products with natural ingredients and decided to try their hand at making natural soaps. After much trial and error they developed their own formula of natural ingredients and today have grown well beyond soaps into a full-line of shaving and grooming products for men and women which include bath bars, body lotions, balms, accessories and even coffee. Mountain Man is an eye opening and heart lifting fragrance inspired by Creed's Silver Mountain Water which like the name implies hits you like a blast of fresh forest air. In a similar way to other iconic fresh scents which employ fruits to achieve their special roundness and depth, such as Creed Aventus or YSL Y, Mountain Man harnesses the ripe sweetness of Orange and Black Current to create a juicy lusciousness. It then adds green tea for an herby depth, all underpinned by woods and musk. The overall effect is an intensely natural and fresh scent, which is sweet, delicious and masculine, and beckons all to come to the great outdoors. Perfect for sports or daytime activities, and particularly well suited to warmer seasons, Mountain Man is gentle enough to be worn in any setting and alluring enough even for a night out.

The Stirling shave soap base hasn't changed its formula since it was first introduced and produces the quintessential example of a lather which ShaveSplash characterizes as Creamy. The formula follows the dictum of keeping it simple and is tallow-based with only 12-14 ingredients which are mainly all-natural. The result is a lather which is moist and smooth, with strong stability, good cushion, high density, and exceptional slickness, and due to the high-quality ingredients with beneficial skin properties has an excellent post-shave feel.
