Stirling was started by Roderick and Amanda Lovan in 2012 after a trip to Scotland during which they fell in love with products with natural ingredients and decided to try their hand at making natural soaps. After much trial and error they developed their own formula of natural ingredients and today have grown well beyond soaps into a full-line of shaving and grooming products for men and women which include bath bars, body lotions, balms, accessories and even coffee. Scent Description
Deep Blue Sea is Stirling's homage to Bleu de Chanel, and an excellent one at that. For a wildly popular fragrance which has become common enough to be considered mainstream, Bleu de Chanel is in its own way controversial. Many consider it an intensely woody scent, but as the name itself describes, it is also blue, which typically denotes aquatic accords. Chanel describes the scent as “herbal-woody” and indeed the scent notes support that with citrus, mint and pepper up front, followed by ginger, nutmeg, and jasmine at the center, and a base of cedar, sandalwood, musk and patchouli. Yet despite no aquatic notes mentioned, a sea-air freshness seems to blow through it giving the impression of the ocean. Deep Blue Sea is a masculine and sophisticated scent, which is intensely fresh and spicy, and versatile enough to be worn casually or dressed up for date night. An icon deserving of its popularity.
