Elysian Soaps was created by Shannon Constantine who started out in retail sales selling fragrances for L'Occcitane and Acqua di Parma. All of her scents and soaps are her own formulations where she takes inspiration from historical figures and mythology. Elysian embraces the belief that grooming products should use premium ingredients with beneficial properities and leave a conditioined feel to the skin. Elysian's offering has expanded to include shave soaps, splashes, balms, EDPs, and pre-shave oil.
Scent Description
Atlantis Deep is a lavishly rich scent with strong fruity, spicy and water elements. The opening notes of Pink Pepper, Blackcurrant (Cassis),and Yuzu evoke a kinship with another iconic scent, Creed Aventus, but by layering in Ginger, Coriander and Anise a spicy, peppery, warmth is folded in adding complexity. An undercurrent of Marine and Oyster notes move through it adding a further oceanic tang. All combined, the bouqet has a sea-air crispness deepend by fruits and spices which make it zesty and a bit mysterious. A strong scent which is suitable for most occassions, day or night, but may require attention during application due to its assertiveness.

Base Description
The Elysian soap base is defined by its premium, and at times, unique ingredients. Soap maker Shannon Constantine brings an educated and experienced eye to her formulation with the clear goal of delivering a base which is both slick and nourishing. The core elements are tallow, shea butter, glycerin, castor oil and coconut oil. Some ingredients not typically found include Kaolin Clay, which improves glide, exfoliates, aids oil absorption and boosts creaminess, and Tussah Silk, which is velvety and improves post-shave feel. A fairly thirsty soap, it produces a creamy lather, with a high degree of structure, which has high density, is extremely slick, strong staiblity, and above average cushion.
