Founded in 2017 in Ansonia Connecticut, Ariana & Evans is the passion project and brain child of Peter Charkalis whose name is the amalgamation of Peter and his daughter's middle names. Peter is an ecclectic and worldly designer who embraces the ideaology of Kaizen, which in Japanese means "constant improvement". His fragrances are bold, sophisticated, whimsical, non-traditional, and heavily influenced by global culture and cuisine, with notable scents including Baklava, Plum & Bliss, Chasing the Dragon, and Khalifa. In 2024, the brand launched a new line, Maullu, a collaboration with internationally acclaimed Italian barber Daniele Maullu which focuses on premium ingredients.
Scent Description
Signature is an extremely masculine scent which is a unique formulation from the mind of Peter Charkalis. The scent notes are straightforward, Bourbon on top followed by a strong hit of Tobacco ending in Sandalwood and Agarwood. Upon first encounter, Signature has a slightly sweet and intoxicating bouquet, likely due to the bourbon, but the tobacco quickly takes over and as it dries down the woods come increasingly to the fore. What's left is a deep, dry, woody and slightly boozy aroma, with lots of tobacco which is sophisticated and manly, but not subtle. Possibly a bit assertive for the office.

Base Description
The Ultima soap base has many excellent properties, particularly its high density and strong stability. Slickness is more than adequate, but unlike the K2e base which ShaveSplash characterizes as "yogurty", which is defined by an ultra-wet, dense, and smooth lather, the Ultima base has more structure and volume and falls under the category of "puffy". Although different from K2e, and its predecessor, the Ultima base has excellent cushion, offering good protetion, and making for an excellent shave.
