Founded in 2017 in Ansonia Connecticut, Ariana & Evans is the passion project and brain child of Peter Charkalis whose name is the amalgamation of Peter and his daughter's middle names. Peter is an ecclectic and worldly designer who embraces the ideaology of Kaizen, which in Japanese means "constant improvement". His fragrances are bold, sophisticated, whimsical, non-traditional, and heavily influenced by global culture and cuisine, with notable scents including Baklava, Plum & Bliss, Chasing the Dragon, and Khalifa. In 2024, the brand launched a new line, Maullu, a collaboration with internationally acclaimed Italian barber Daniele Maullu which focuses on premium ingredients.
Scent Description
Chasing the Dragon is a powerfly floral scent reminiscent of a bygone age. The Jasmine and Rose dominate the bouquet with a second dimension present from the Coffee, Pepper, and Star Anise which add earthiness to the floral sweetness. The overall effect is a gentlemanly, sophisticated, and complex melange, which has shadows of the iconic Tabac. The scent strength is strong, as is the longevity. Chasing the Dragon is like a carnation in the lapel of a dapper, mature, gentleman. Maybe most suited for daytime, home, or work, but could be worn for almost any occasion.

Base Description
The Ultima soap base has many excellent properties, particularly its high density and strong stability. Slickness is more than adequate, but unlike the K2e base which ShaveSplash characterizes as "yogurty", which is defined by an ultra-wet, dense, and smooth lather, the Ultima base has more structure and volume and falls under the category of Structured. Although different from K2e, and its predecessor, the Ultima base has excellent cushion, offering good protection, and making for an excellent shave.
