Mint Cherry Barbershop

Adopted Acres

Adopted Acres was founded in 2024 by Doug & Cara Layne in Asheville Ohio, where Doug uses tallow from the family farm where they have over 1,000 acres and an Angus beef cattle herd to make his soap. Doug is a wet shaving fanatic who dreamed of making his own soaps and splashes. The fragrances are all original and in addition to Cara the couple's five children help run the show.

Scent Description

Doug Layne at Adopted Acres has a flare for weaving complex collections of scent notes into cohesive and well-balanced fragrances with exquisite depth. From the name alone, one would expect Mint Cherry Barbershop to be a farely straightforward affair, primarily cherry and mint, and possibly evoking images of your favorite tub of ice cream. However the scent is anything but simple, with a rich, floral and fruity bouqet which is lush, boozy, and ethereal, but remains masculine and inviting. For those who enjoy sweeter scents, it's a truly inspired take on the classic barbershop genre which is a great daytime fragrance for almost any occassion.
